Our Story
Hi, I'm Jack, the founder, and master Guitar Teacher at JHGuitarSchool. I'm glad to see you are interested in learning guitar. I was just where you are. Here is my story:
I started guitar at the age of 11 and didn't really start enjoying it before the age of 16. I've lost many years learning from unprofessional teachers using ineffective methods. But I had no clue what to do as we didn't have too many options back then. I had tried a private teacher at home for many years and it didn't work out, it bored me to death and made me disinterested. I joined a renowned conservatory and it didn't work out as well, the process was slow, boring, and painful.
So I tried learning on my own which also didn't work out because I was confused by so many things and everything was taking me a lot of time to understand and play. Time I could have saved if I had the opportunity to hire the RIGHT teacher.
By the time I got my certificates in Guitar Teaching from the United States, I was already a professional guitarist. BUT fortunately for you, you don't have to suffer as I did. We have a solution for you.

How Our Guitar Lessons Work

- Once you sign up, you will fill out a quick assessment, which will help us get to know you and your goals better. It will also help us in creating the best lesson material and lesson plan for you!
- Once you sign up, you will be given all the needed instructions to book classes that fit your schedule no matter how busy or unconventional your schedule is.
- Lessons are 60 mins and are taught by our professional highly trained teachers
- Lessons occur in small groups of 1 to 3 students of similar age, skill level, and musical taste. We keep classes small In order for us to focus on your needs but for you to also benefit from a class dynamic, faster progress and more results.Students frequently mention how they prefer a small group experience as it helps them practice and experiment without the pressure of having a teacher constantly watching them.
- Lessons are billed on a monthly basis using direct debit
- Lessons occur at 120 Eglinton Ave East, Unit 607.
You may attend lessons in person at 120 Eglinton Ave E or online from the comfort of your home. - Classes run on appointment on Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm, 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm, and Sat from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
- Lessons can be given in English and French.
- Every single week you get a roadmap and a practice plan so you know exactly what you need to do!
