4 Unconventional Major Arpeggios For A Creative Sound

Melodic Guitar Arpeggios that will make you sound more creative

Fun lesson to learn melodic and creative arpeggio licks, practice them and then create your own signature licks.

Lick 1: Uses the same motif on multiple areas of the fretboard. Switching from one position to another using slides.

Lick 2: Uses a mixture of techniques, such as slurs, slides and bends.

Lick 3: Combines string skipping and repeating notes that create a beautiful tension.

Lick 4: Is all about string skipping and wide slides!

Lick 5: Combines it all! Speed, sequences, motifs and bends!

Practice the licks as is first, then try to come up with your own variations of those licks, then try to integrate those variations together into your playing and become instantly more melodic!

Happy practicing!

Why learn and create Unconventional Arpeggios licks
Simply because plain sweep picked conventional arpeggios haven't been cool since the 80's!
Plus the sound gimmicky and monotone. When was the last time you heard someone rip up and down the same arpeggio 10 times and you thought "wow that's a creative an melodic player"?

*crickets*

That's what I thought lol ;)

Case in point!
Final Words
I have provided you with hopefully some melodic licks that you will like and adopt into your playing. These Arpeggio licks are meant to be played right away and incorporated into your playing.

As I always say, try to come up with your own variations and create your own signature sound.
Try them out on different keys and different areas of the neck you will be surprised how much you can learn from something you already know, just by changing the way you look at it (or execute it for that matter).

If this is too advanced for you take it slow, one measure at a time.
